Our San Diego's Pacific Rocky Shores Trip (San Diego Bird Festival) took us to the Oceanside Harbor on the afternoon of Friday, March 6, 2009. This Double-crested Cormorant was sitting on the walkway. The Double-crested Cormorant we photographed is sporting black ear tuffs (eastern bird?). The eyes of this bird are a bright turquoise. It was a partly cloudy day with temperatures in the low 70's.
